Staying Sharp on the Road: Exercise
My flight was delayed from Beijing to Hong Kong and I arrived to my hotel after midnight. At 6 am when my alarm went off, my bed must have been the most comfortable place in the world. But with a full day of meetings today and what are bound to be many tasty meals, I got up to do a quick in room workout. Painful as it might seem at the time, getting in 30 minutes of exercise makes the rest of the day exponentially better compared with the same amount of sleep.
I’m a big fan of Tracy Anderson’s workouts. She seems to make you tight and tiny in all the right spots. But you should use some caution with her routines. She suggests far more reps than I can do – 20 is about right for me. And the angles can be strange, so take care if you try it and listen to your body.
This is one of my favorite arm workouts and this video below is another good one.
So make the extra room and pack your workout gear – it will make all the difference!
