There is nothing I love more than having a hot coffee first thing in the morning when I wake up, especially on chilly fall mornings. There’s something so peaceful and comforting about wrapping my hands around a coffee mug filled with delicious brew. These days I’ve been particularly enjoying adding some seasonal spice for additional flavor and warmth. Taken black (as Crosby likes it on the right) or with homemade nut milk (how I like it, left) it just hits the spot.
Give the recipe below a try and let me know what you think!
Spiced Coffee for 2, French Press
1 Tsp cinnamon
1 Tsp vanilla powder
1/4 Tsp Pimenton – smoked paprika
3 Tbs coffee, ground for the french press
Tiny pinch of sea salt
Place the first five ingredients in the french press. Boil the water (200 degrees F), pour over the contents in the french press, mix and let stand 3 – 4 minutes.
Press, pour and enjoy!
